The Sarah Isom Center extends a special thank you and congrats to Dr. Carrie Smith (Psychology) for helping win an “Of the Month” award from Student Housing. This summer, she proposed a new series of programming targeting freshmen that would take place in the residence halls called Isom Underground.
So far, she has partnered with Scott Mason from the South Residential College to host two events: a pop-up (sober) speakeasy and a trivia night focusing on sex education. Both events have been well attended by students and more events are planned for the future.
The nomination will now be considered at the regional and national levels for recognition.
