Dr. Rodriguez’s research focuses on mental health treatment perceptions and practices, particularly for minoritized and high-risk populations. Her work aims to bridge the gap in mental healthcare utilization and promote sustained therapy engagement, focusing on treatment attitudes, preferences and expectations, and personality assessment. She also investigates how mental healthcare providers can contribute to firearm suicide prevention, with an emphasis on addressing suicide-specific stigma and screening for firearm access.
